Snel besteld, snel geleverd, héél goed verpakt!

Aufmerksam bin ich im Sommer auf dieses E-Bike geworden. Ein Ehepaar hatte zwei von diesen Rädern. Ich war sofort vom Design begeistert und habe mich sofort über die technischen Ausstattungen informiert.
Danach wurde sofort ein Bike für meine Frau geordert. Der Fahrspass übertrug sich auch auf mich: jetzt haben wir zwei air20pro !!!
Ein kleiner Mangel wurde festgestellt: die Schutzbleche haben keine Spoiler, so dass bei nassem Wetter die grobstolligen Reifen den Schmutz auf Tretlager und ins offene Sattelstützenrohr von unten werfen.
Ansonsten macht das Fahren sehr viel Spass.

I leave in a city with lots of hills , The Air 20 Ultra grab it with no problem, even the hardest !I have it for 3 weeks and already 200 km.No REGRET! "I Cross the city" in 20 minutes so bye bye metros, cars, traffic jams who make me mad.
First day I had problems with the seatpost clamp, I wrote to Ado, they reacted very quickly and send me another one.

4 weeks 500kms. I am a 70 year old male ihave been riding/racing (competitively) on and off road bikes for over 47 years. Health issues force me to adapt to a more leisurely/touring mode. Purchased for its versatility, its ease of transport (folded or otherwise). Casual rides at 18-20kph 1000mtrs of ascent and 80kms are acheivable. Our two bikes have been set up with panniers and front bags for bike packing trips of 7 to 10 days+. Out of the box it is a little over 22kgs, but well balanced so weight is not noticeable. It folds and fits in a car but heavy to carry over distance. Wheeling the folded bike is not as easy. The magnetic catch does not hold the bike, a secure strap is more effective. The Lights on the bike work as described. The Carbon belt offers a smooth ride with less maintainence. The bike is extremely quiet. Folding pedals offer a good non slip platform. The geometry and design is well thought out. Handling slightly more noticeable at very slow speeds with smaller 20” wheels but once rolling it is solid and gives a confident ride.The stability and handling of this bike is solid 60kph. The Ultra feels secure when riding hard packed tracks. It climbs well but cadence and gear changing needs improvement.The adjustable bar/seat height allows for a comfortable riding position. I purchased 2 of these bikes, My wife is 5’3”(160cm)with a 72.5cm inside leg measurement and the ADO ultra fits no problem. Concerned initialy as to how far the seat post could drop before being vulnerable to ground strikes. ADO were quick to reply to address my concerns prior to the purchase. I, am 5’11” (180.5cm) with a very long inside leg measurement of 85cm. To get a full straight leg for riding comfortably the seat post needs to be 1” above the recommended maximum. If the seat post (battery casing) were extended it would accommodate the longer in-seam. The electric assist levels work very well. There is an option to change the way the levels work on the display unit of the cockpit. The Air 20 Ultra has 2 basic modes of power assist, Eco and Sport, THESE ARE CHANGEABLE ON THE FLY. In each mode the display can be changed to show 5 or 3 bars of level assist. Each level is noticeable and makes a difference when engaged by pressing + or - buttons on the display of the handlebars. I personally find that Eco mode has more than enough assist and the Sport is not needed. The 3 speed gears work independently of any power assist. The gearing will take some getting used to. I can say with a large degree of accuracy, that the gear changes from 1st to 2nd gear at 11.7kph and the cadence is between 55 and 60RPM. The change from 2nd to 3rd is 20.0kph and again the RPM is close to 60.I find that the 3rd gear spins out at about 50kph (for me). Remembering of course that the bike and its functions have been designed NOT for speed but for urban and leisure use and should not be compared with other bike designs that offer speed and off road capabilities. The potential for this bike, far exceeds the expected capabilities.The gear change takes some getting used & requires a combination of understanding the rpm and power assist level for a well balanced ride. I find in second gear on any climb over 2%up to 5% gradient it is comfortable using Eco mode on the 2ndor3rd bar of assist, maintaining a steady speed of between 15 and 18kph. A 5% incline or more then I would use 3 to 5 bars in the Eco mode. Above 7or8 % the assist and gearing will change but this bike will do it comfortably.The Torque sensors are a real game changer with almost instantaneous immediate response. The colour Display has 3 clean, clear backlit options . The Hydraulic disc brakes produced by Tektro are effective and perform very well. The adjustable front suspension reduces vibration. The frames substantial locking mechs work and are secure. The Paint finish appears good easy to keep clean and appears very durable. The tyres a brand I know very little about look and feel high quality. The rolling resistance and grip theyprovide is excellent. I will consider replacing them like for like when the time comes. The battery charger is extremely light weight and quite compact and will charge from empty to full in 6 hours. The rear rack is quite narrow, to fit most panniers will require a few easy adaptions and the correct choice of bags. If fitted correctly there will be no heel strikes.There is no toe overlap with this bike. This bike will suit many styles, urban, weekend touring and beyond suitable for beginners and experienced riders. It has a strong build, quality feel and is most definitely well worth the asking price. No hesitation to recommend this bike and the company that produce it. It would be nice if the gear changes take place a little later and offer a cadence closer to 70RPM before changing. A combination of power level assist and cadence works well to a large extent but I can see this as a factor that might reduce the amount of folk wanting to buy this bike

The bike is more beautiful in person than in the photo. Beautiful design and color! Really top construction and assembly! Excellent packaging and shipping. Very easy to assemble.
I did a first test ride of 15 km and the ADO Air 20 Pro thrilled me! Everything seemed perfect: engine, frame, suspension, brakes... the automatic transmission is fantastic!!
The only flaw was the pain in the coccyx at the end of the ride: I would suggest ADO to look for a solution, for the moment I will take a padded seat cover with a hollow in the center.

Bike arrived well packaged. There was one minute paint chip at the bottom edge of the frame below the bottom bracket on the seat tube which I was surprised made it through quality control. Not a deal breaker though.

It took an hour to assemble the bike. I've built bikes before and I know what I'm doing so I took my time and carefully took it out of the box, rescued the zip ties and read the instructions.

I added some protection on the frame and the rack to make sure no undue wear takes place when I use small panniers.

On to the ride experience....
It is good. I had previously taken a short spin on one a year ago so I knew what I was getting regarding the ride.
The brakes are the wrong way round for UK cyclist and there isn't an easy way or reversible/flippable brake lever to correct this so I'll learn to live with it.

There was slight slippage of the seatpost over a short ride from the factory setting off the clamp so I needed to tighten that a little.

The motor is ok. 40nm, 250w and 15.5mph can get me around my local hilly area.
The dual speed bafang motor had both benefits and a oddity. Because it is automatic and the higher gear engages above 11mph pedaling the bike can become harder when going up hill and there is nothing you can do about it.
For example when I ride up hills I change into a lower gear in order to spin the cranks rather than a higher gear which makes my rpm lower and harder. In a car you would go for a lower gear going up a hill. In a motorbike you would use a lower gear.
In an electric car you would rely on a powerful motor and a huge amount of torque to go up a hill.

With this hub you end up in a higher gear going up hill if you are making good progress then the motor cuts out!

Is this a big issue? In a hilly area yes. If you live somewhere flat probably not.
The higher gear has an advantage going down hills and on the flat above the motor cut off speed. 20mph is achievable on the flat, more on the downhills.

One other issue I had was the front brake cable routing over the fork crown. Factory assembled the multitude of cables that pass by the fork and into the frame included the the front hydraulic hose and this needed more independent movement around the fork crown and the dial associated with the suspension fork.

I've been riding the bike with the fork locked out. Suspension probably not necessary even when on the rubbish UK roads with the descent BMX sized tyres.

The rear rack is good I have used 2 small panniers and a dry bag to cart stuff around.

Battery life I can't report back on just yet but going downhill it'll last for ever! Going up hill probably not forever!

I'm sure ADO will give me the opportunity to submit a review in the future after I have completed a few hundred miles on it?

Love the bike. It sits fine, has a strong engine and takes me everywhere. I did had to adjust to the automatic shifting. It does have some odd things: 1) you have to turn on the engine and computer separately/both 2) you have to press the computer 6 seconds before it turns on 3) it does not remember the settings. For example, if I choose lightning on and gear 3, when I turn off and on the light is off and its in gear 1. Would also appreciate it if the underside of the bike was protected against damaging - when folded the bike leans on the chain guard…

L'Ado Air 20 Pro est tout simplement le meilleur vélo que j'ai pu avoir en ma possession.

Il s'agit de mon cinquième vélo et du 4ème au format 20" pliable, qui est devenu un impératif pour moi, pour mes trajets quotidiens domicile/travail en train.

Je ne connaissais pas encore les vélos à courroie avant d'essayer L'air 20 Pro et je dois dire que je ne reviendrais désormais plus jamais en arrière : Très silencieux, changement de vitesse automatique, pas d'entretien ni de graissage de chaîne, pas de chaîne qui saute... Un vrai bonheur !

Je viens de dépasser les 2000km avec ce vélo, après 6 mois d'utilisation et je ne pourrais pas être plus satisfait.

Le vélo est très simple à entretenir soi-même, malgré le fait que je soit un néophyte. J'ai pu changer les plaquettes de freins, remplacer les étriers (l'un des deux s'est cassé dans un accident), purger le liquide de frein, changer les chambres à air lors d'une crevaison...
Mention toute particulière au support technique ADO, extrêmement réactif et disponible pour m'aider en toutes circonstances.

Voici tout de même les quelques rares points à améliorer, que j'a pu noter dans ce laps de temps :
- La fixation magnétique fournie pour maintenir le vélo replié, n'est pas assez efficace et durable.
- Le clignotant est un ajout appréciable, mais il faudrait qu'il clignote aussi bien à l'avant qu'à l'arrière, ce qui n'est pas le cas.

Si je dois commander un nouveau vélo, mon choix se portera sur Ado, sans hésiter.

L’Ado Air 20 est un vélo extraordinaire, il m’a jusqu’à présent permis d’effectuer près de 2500 Km sur tout type de chemin de relief et par tous les temps. Je suis en général chargé voyez plutôt ! L’assistance électrique n’est pas utilisée en continue, cela ne pose aucun problème tant il a été bien étudier et relativement bien équilibré du point de vue rapport. Ce modèle ne possède en effet, qu’une seule vitesse. Je possède une moto électrique que j’ai totalement délaissée depuis que j’utilise l’Ado Air 20 avec lequel je prends énormément de plaisir à voyager. Je n’ai pas de points négatifs à relever, pour son prix, vous obtenez un vélo fiable très agréable en toutes circonstances. J’ai apporté à ce vélo des modifications qui me semblaient justifiée par l’usage intense que j’en fait (phares, selle, suspension de selle, arrimage de caddie). Pour la grande majorité des gens, il sera au top tel que reçu ! A mon humble avis, peu de personne, font avec un vélo 20’’ pliant, 2500 km en moins de six mois ! Je tiens également à souligner le professionnalisme du service après-vente, qui n’a pas hésité à me remplacer le premier vélo reçu, qui comportait une anomalie pour laquelle leur responsabilité n’était pas clairement établie. En résumé, si vous chercher un vélo fiable, agréable, à acheter auprès d’une équipe réactive et compétente, n’hésitez pas. Pour ma part, je lorgne déjà leur nouveau modèle.

Being in my seventies I wanted the assistance of an Ebike, I made the right decision with the Ado air 20 Pro, loving the assist on hills I would of struggled with.
I have changed the saddle as again being older I need more cushion.
All round great bike, yet to try lifting it into the car but as the battery post is easily removed to lighten the lift it should not be a problem.
