After purchasing my Air Carbon over a month ago I feel I can explain why my review is quite positive. I spent several weeks looking at the market for folding bikes in Germany because of problems I have been having when travelling by train with a regular bicycle. In the summer months the trains, commuter trains and subways in and around Berlin are full of bicycles, so full, that I was unable to board. So a folding bike was the solution. I tried out different ones, Riese & Müller, Ahooga, Brompton, OneMile, before coming across the ADO website by chance. I took advantage of a sale and a week later I was unpacking the bike. Within an hour I was ready to ride, fully equipped and pre-assembled with aluminum fenders and rear rack. It took no effort to be cruising at 25 kmh in ECO mode step 1. Acceleration is very smooth, better than the competitor models I tried out. The feel is different from an E-bike with a gear shift as changing from step 1 to 2 etc is hardly noticeable. Overall, I find riding it to be very comfortable. I chose the Air Carbon model because I am over 70, and at 14+ kg its just about all that I can carry up and down train station steps. In its folded state it is rather bulky, unfolded it is easier to carry. Otherwise, I found out how to fold it so that I can roll it easily. Folding and unfolding is straightforward and easily learnable. And once I had adjusted the latches for the seat and on the frame, it all went much faster. I added an Ortlieb Sport-Roller bag and replaced the pedals with folding pedals. The display is very good, but it is necessary to connect to the app to turn on the headlight and for navigation. I haven't tested the 100 km claim for the battery as I only use the bike for trips up to 25 km. Finally, during a visit to the ADO headquarters in Düsseldorf I was given much helpful advice, and found out that there is now an ADO representative in Berlin. All in all, I am a satisfied customer looking forward to several years of Air Carbon riding.

Ich bin von meinem Fahrrad sehr begeistert. Es ist ein Hingucker für alle, die es sehen und hält was versprochen wird. Das Fahrrad wurde innerhalb von drei Tagen nach Österreich (!) geliefert und auch die Paketumleitung (weil man zu Hause sein muss) hat einwandfrei geklappt.
Das versprochene inkludierte Zubehör (Ständer, Kotflügel, Gepäckträger und Tasche) kommt auf China und wurde allerdings erst nach meinem Urgieren geliefert (kam 6 1/2 Wochen nach meiner Bestellung). Das Montieren war leider nciht ganz einfach - ein Freund (der mir Gott sei Dank geholfen hat und der sich gut mit Fahrrädern auskennt), hat dazu gut 45 Minuten gebraucht.

Seit einigen Tagen habe ich mein neues Bike. Es ist wirklich sehr schön. Mittlerweile kamen auch der Seitenständer und die Magneten bei mir an. Die Montage war einfach. Leider gab es Probleme mit dem Akku. Nach Kontakt mit dem Sevice bekam ich einen neuen Akku. Jetzt funktioniert alles. Vielen Dank.

The company has truly excellent customer support. They respond quickly and make every effort to resolve any potential issues to everyone's satisfaction, which is, in the end, one of the most important factors for me. Even if a problem arises, a company's willingness to communicate openly and address the issue is a huge plus.

I purchased the ADO Air Carbon, and it's genuinely one of the most beautiful electric bikes—it’s an absolute pleasure to ride. It’s comfortable, agile, and easy to assemble and disassemble. While it’s a bit heavier than I initially expected (weighing 15 kg including the battery), it’s still light enough to lift and transport, even for a woman. It handles road obstacles effortlessly (and our curb-to-street transitions are terrible).

I especially loved the pedals—they may be small, but they offer excellent grip and don’t slip with any kind of footwear (not even when wearing dress shoes). The monitor is easy to use and remains highly visible even in bright sunlight.

This is truly an excellent little bike for daily commuting—it gets the job done and looks fantastic while doing it. The battery lasts at least 60 kilometers on a single charge (likely more, but I haven’t tested that limit yet). There are plenty of accessories available, and I personally find the kickstand and fenders very useful. The bag is also super practical, offering enough space for gloves, winter gear, or a water bottle.

The GPS bike tracking and app features are interesting additions.

Great value for the money.

Geweldige fiets. Doch tegelijkertijd bestelde front en back fender plus bagagedrager, kickstand en storage bag nog altijd niet ontvangen. Dit was onderdeel van de Free Carbon Month en hoefde je niks voor te betalen, maar tot op heden nog niks van gezien. De naservice als je hierover probeert contact op te nemen is niet zo goed. Erg frustrerend zelfs moet ik zeggen. Dus 3 sterren ipv 5 sterren. Als ik hierover snel duidelijkheid had gekregen dan waren het er 5 geweest. Nu verkeer ik nog steeds in onzekerheid of de gratis artikelen uit de Carbon month gaan aankomen of niet.

Das Rad lässt sich sehr schön fahren, allerdings gibt’s Probleme mit dem Einschaltknopf am Akku. Beim ausschalten blinkt das Licht ununterbrochen.
Auch sind zwei Kabel ab, die wohl zur Lampe gehören.Ich würde Ihnen gerne Bilder schicken

A very pleasant bike. Real weight including protection, baggage-carrier and light as self-mesured is 16kg. At steep hills a gear-change would be useful.
I'm looking forward to use the thing on my next trip with our van!
