Is it possible to change speed? Is it weatherproof?
ADO Air 20 has a single gear. However, you can choose to use 3 levels of electrical power to assist your ride. Besides, ADO Air 20 is equipped with a smart torque sensor system that provides you immediate power assistance according to terrain. In this case, even if you ride or start the ride on an incline, you will get the assistance you need immediately even with a single gear.
Yes, ADO Air 20 is IPX5 waterproof and the IPS display is IPX7 waterproof, all electronic components are sealed to prevent ingress of heavy rain and dust.
Is ADO Air 20 certified?
According to SGS CE EN15194 and SGS UKCA, ADO Air 20 conforms to the requirements of: Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), the EMC Directive (2014/30/EU), and the Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU), and DIN EN 15194:2017, and ADO Air 20 battery complies with UN 38.3 lithium-ion battery testing standards.
What is the difference between the International and EU versions? Which option is best for me?
Check the e-bike laws in your country when making your decision:
* EU version to be compliant with laws on e-bikes in most EU-countries: no throttle installed, max speed 25km/h, peak power 250w.
* International version with no restrictions: throttle installed, max speed 30km/h, peak power 350w.
If you order the international version of ADO Air 20 within the EU, you will receive a charger that meets EU specifications.But it is not officially legal to drive ADO Air 20 international version on public roads in the EU. You are only allowed to own it and drive it on private property.
How long is the warranty period?
For bike frame, 5 years warranty; For controllers, motors, batteries, forks, head tubes, handlebars, chargers, pedals, flywheels, chainstays: 12 months warranty. Should you encounter some production related manufacturer’s defect during this period, we will take care of it according to our warranty. It’s a decent bike the brakes are phenomenal and I happy with the weight of the bike the only thing that would make it 5 stars is if the throlle came with the bike instead of shipping seperately
Zuallererst, das ADO Air 20 ist großartig und ich liebe es! Der ADO Support ist hervorragend. Man bekommt auf jede E-Mail sofort eine Antwort, Hilfe oder sehr kulante Angebote, wenn man nett fragt. Mein Rad wurde innerhalb von 2 Tage aus dem EU-Lager nach Deutschland geliefert. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr hochwertig und der Zusammenbau ging sehr schnell und unkompliziert. Danke auch für die tollen Videos auf eurer Youtube-ADO-Support-Seite! Der Motor ist sehr kräftig, auch bei Steigungen und beschleunigt das Rad sehr schnell auf 25 km/h. Die Fahreigenschaften sind toll und das Rad lässt sich auch ganz ohne Motorunterstützung sehr gut fahren wie ein ganz normales Rad. ich genieße jede Ausfahrt mit dem Rad. Die App muss in manchen Bereichen noch verbessert werden. Aber auch hier reagiert der Support mit Updates auf evtl. Fehlermeldungen. Im Entwicklermodus kann man in der App noch die eine oder andere Feineinstellung am Rad vornehmen, wie z.B. das Anprechverhalten beim Anfahren, etc. - toll. Ich persönlich kann das Rad nur empfehlen.
Ich habe mir noch die Schutzbleche und den Gepäckträger aus Metall gekauft. Alles in allem eine sehr hochwertige und stabile Qualität, allerdings könnte die Präzision der Teile besser sein. Somit hat der Einbau knapp 2 Stunden gedauert. Hier stimmt für mich das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis leider nicht.
Trotzdem klare Kaufempfehlung und die Leute von ADO sind wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen!
Es ist ein Geschenk und gar nicht ausgepackt. Kann also zum Fahrrad noch nichts sagen. Lieferung war jedenfalls spektakulär schnell. Ich rechne auch nicht mit irgendwelchen Schäden weil die Verpackung absolut unbeschädigt war.

I´m happy with the bike, but the distance between the handlebars and the saddle is too long and the arms are very extended and hurt. The brakes sometimes make noise.

I purchased this bike because I need to use it to travel to work and still be able to use the Train or Bus without having to pay extra. And I can say, its done its purpose. The bike is almost 3 kg more than what was advertised, which was a little bit hard for me, because Im just a small woman with small stature, but it is still better and lighter than what I purchased from other store before, which i returned. Overall in satisfied condition with my purchase. The Bike is really beautiful, cant live it outside.
Nothing but praise for the ADO Air 20. It components are of better quality than other foldable e-bikes on the same price range: from the hydraulic disc brakes to the high quality LED, tires and the mechanical locks and hinges... It definitely stands above all competitors. I'm super happy with it.
